Our goal is to eliminate antisemitism and hate by ensuring that every middle and high school student in California receives impactful and standards-based Holocaust and genocide education.\nEducation to End Hate ( https://www.cde.ca.gov/nr/ne/yr20/yr20rel77.asp ) In 2020, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction (SSPI), Tony Thurmond, launched a new, multifaceted “Education to End Hate” initiative designed to empower educators and students to confront the hate, bigotry, and racism rising in communities across the state and nation. Under this effort, the California Department of Education (CDE) continues to lead a series of strategies—including educator training grants, partnerships with community leaders, and virtual classroom sessions—that leverage the power of education to create a more just society free from bias or hatred, including racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, or discrimination of any kind.\nThe CA Collaborative was established in 2021 by the JFCS Holocaust Center ( https://holocaustcenter.jfcs.org/ ).  It is supported by the California Department of Education, the Marin County Office of Education, and the State of California.\n\n\n
