Today we visited the site of Auschwitz Birkenau. There is a great deal to say and the students are doing so with amazing eloquence. Know that each participant felt so connected to their families at home through the letters you sent… the emotional impact stayed with them throughout the day.

Helen was unbelievably strong and brave.  Her storytelling drew in not only each one of us, but others visiting the site couldn’t help but follow her narrative as well. More to come tomorrow from the student perspective.
