- The Feibusch family papers comprise post-war correspondence to the Feibusch family from refugee organizations regarding the fate of their family friends - Irene, Adolf and Jacob Baecker. Also included are two photographs of a young girl and young man, presumably Irene Baecker and Adolf Baecker.

Biographical/Historical note
Mrs. L. Feibusch and Miss Roselotte Feibusch were living in England and Wales directly after the end of World War II. Roselotte Feibusch was born in Berlin, Germany in 1923, and emigrated from England to America in October 1946.
Ms. Feibusch's friend, Irne Baecker, was born in Berlin, Germany in 1923. She was deported to Malines concentration camp in Belgium, and on April 19, 1943 was deported with her brother Adolf (b. August 1924) toward the east, most likely to Auschwitz.
Scope and Contents note
The collection documents the Feibusch family's search for family friends after the end of the World War II. It comprises correspondence and photographs.
One letter, dated October 6, 1945, from Aide aux Israelites Victimes de la Guerre in Brussels is a response to an inquiry from Mrs. L. Feibusch of London and informs her that Irene Backer, Adolf Backer and Jacob Backer had been deported on April 19, 1943 from the Malines concentration camp. A second letter, dated February 27, 1946, written to Miss Roselotte Feibusch from the Association of Jewish Refugees in Great Britain confirms that her friend Irne Baecker had been brought to Malines from Berlin and then deported "in an Easterly direction." The letters neither confirm the fate of the family nor reflect optimisim about the outcome.
Two photographs of a young girl and a young boy are unidentified, and are presumably photographs of Irne Baecker and Adolf Baecker.
