Day of Learning 2016

More than 600 students and educators representing 120 different schools from throughout California joined the JFCS Holocaust Center for the 14th annual Day of Learning. Eighteen different workshops were offered and 16 different survivors of the Holocaust and genocide shared their stories.

Book cover - The Children of Willesden LaneWe hope you enjoyed the preview of Mona Golabek’s performance and will be joining us for The Children of Willesden Lane Bay Area BIG READ, a new and powerful educational initiative coming soon. The program
includes a book and classroom activities, and culminates in the award winning theatrical production about how the power of music helped one young woman survive the Holocaust as a refugee. Performances of The Children of Willesden Lane will take place November 6 – 10 at Herbst Theatre, in San Francisco.
