Building Bridges. Connecting Communities. Growing Global Citizens. This is the vision of Jessica A. Ross (the Boss). It stems from her previous work in the global nonprofit sector and her ongoing commitment to international development and service. Jessica has carried this vision close to her heart throughout her 14 year educational career, during which she has primarily taught middle school English Language Arts. Middle school is a ripe age to implement Jessica’s vision. She introduces meaningful content, concepts, and competencies so scholars develop the agency to positively impact their lives and communities. Jessica is open about her auditory processing disorder and anxiety. In addition, she was raised in the Bay Area by a single mom on a teacher’s salary. Jessica is passionate about travel, language, cultural experiences, theatre, singing, salsa dancing, martial arts, food, and reading. She loves spending quality time with loved ones, especially with her precious cat, Zola.
