David Bigelman is in his 23rd year teaching and his 3rd year teaching both English and Art. He taught AP English for several years and recently changed to teaching 10th grade World Literature to better prepare students for advanced English classes in 11th and 12th grade. He focuses on literacy as the foundation for personal growth and social uplift. This includes debate and speaking skills along with reading and writing. Content for his courses comes from a mixture of classic and modern literature, poetry, and art. He is a father of two daughters and will celebrate his 30th wedding anniversary this spring. Prior to becoming a teacher he worked for five years in corporations in Silicon Valley.
