Catherine Rodriguez has been an English Language Arts Teacher for 33 years. She started her teaching career at St. Mathias High School in Huntington Park, California. After 3 years Catherine moved onto her community high school called Phineas Banning High School in Wilmington, Ca. where she has been for 30 years. During those years she has taught English 9, 10, and 12. Catherine has also taught both Humanities and A.P. Literature. She is currently the lead teacher for her school’s college preparatory magnet and ELA co-department chair. Catherine’s interest in Holocaust and Genocidal Studies started in her teens. Her goal has been to educate teens about these atrocities so that they can be prevented in the future. She is always eager to learn and feels that when she is done learning then she is done with educating others.
