Yom HaShoah: Days of Commemoration 4/8 and 4/9

The JFCS Preisler Shorenstein Institute for Holocaust Education presents Days of Commemoration on April 8th and 9th in honor of Holocaust remembrance.  We invite you to join the JFCS Holocaust Center for interactive virtual workshops featuring Holocaust survivor testimony and expert-led conversations focused on the lessons and legacies of the Holocaust.

Attend one or all sessions; Zoom links will be provided.

Thursday, April 8th

11 am (PT) — Testimony from George Elbaum, Holocaust Survivor and Member of the JFCS William J. Lowenberg Speakers Bureau

12 pm (PT) — The Holocaust by Bullets with Yahad in Unum

2 pm (PT) — The Future of Memory Continued: An Intergenerational Conversation with Author Elizabeth Rosner

3 pm (PT) — Painting Kaddish: A Conversation with Artist Esti Dunow and The Contemporary Jewish Museum

 

Friday, April 9th

1 pm (PT) — The Pink Triangle: Queer Jews in Weimar Germany, the Holocaust, and Beyondwith Dr. Yedida Kanfer, JFCS Holocaust Center, and Rabbi Camille Angel, USF
