Victor Silva began working in education in 2004 and has been a Social Studies and English teacher in the Grover Cleveland High School Humanities Magnet since 2018. Victor is very proud to have been part of the faculty in 2025 when the Cleveland Humanities Magnet won the Magnet Schools of America’s, Dr. Ronald P. Simpson Award, as the number one Magnet School in the United States. As a member of the Equity and Justice Team at Cleveland High School Victor has helped to lead professional development workshops aimed at supporting student diversity and inclusion. Victor’s goal as a teacher is to ensure that students of all identities see themselves reflected in the curriculum. Victor is a passionate advocate for Holocaust and Genocide education, in his classroom students center their study of Genocide by hearing survivor testimony and end by creating memorials to ensure those stories stay alive.
