Teaching Genocide through Primary Sources and Graphic Novels | Case Studies: California Indian Genocide and the Holocaust
Join us for a full-day institute where middle and high school teachers become students again, deepening their knowledge to effectively teach lessons on genocide. Educators will explore the California Indian Genocide through primary source investigations and discover how to use a graphic novel to teach about the Holocaust. Led by experts from the JFCS Holocaust Center and Redbud Resource Group, participants will engage in meaningful conversations with fellow educators and leave equipped with CCSS-aligned lessons, books for their classroom libraries, and a wealth of additional resources.
