Biographical/Historical note
Nazi Germany occupied Holland in May 1940. Beginning in April 1941, German identification cards were issued to the Dutch population. Jews who registered had their cards stamped with a large “J.” Because Marianne De Wilde’s identity card was not stamped with a “J,” it is not likely that she was Jewish.
Marianne de Wilde was born December 10, 1909 in Amsterdam. At the time of the issuance of this card, she lived in Van Breestrasse 195, Amsterdam. There is no other biographical information available about Marianne de Wilde.
