Yom HaShoah

Holocaust Remembrance Day
Monday, April 17, 2023

On April 19, 1943, young Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto rose up against their oppressors. 80 years later, we draw inspiration from their heroic choices. We do not stand idly by.

Please join us for a virtual commemoration of the Holocaust and a special program featuring creators of the PBS documentary, The U.S. and The Holocaust.

3:30pm (PT)—Reading of the Names*

6:00pm (PT)—Memorial Commemoration and Program: The U.S. and The Holocaust

A conversation with Sarah Botstein, co-director of the PBS series The U.S. and the Holocaust, historian Rebecca Erbelding, featured in the film, and Morgan Blum Schneider, Director of the JFCS Holocaust Center.

Clergy from San Francisco synagogues and the Israeli Consul General will participate in our commemoration.
