Stanley Steyer and Diana (Danuta) Kintzel met during World War II. She was a Polish Catholic and he was Jewish. They were married in Warsaw, Poland on September 21, 1943. By entering into a relationship with Stanley, Diana undertook an enormous risk: if discovered, she and her family would have been killed. Nevertheless, despite the risk, both Diana and her family members joined Stanley in supporting his Jewish friends and family in hiding. They have yet to be recognized as Righteous Among the Nations.
